As a coach, you have a great opportunity to help kids have a great sports experience. An experience that is meaningful, challenging, educational, and fun. With the Champions of Character program, you will be able to help define, model, shape, and reinforce the five core values: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership for your team.
We believe that athletics is a significant part of a sound educational program and provides an opportunity to build good character.
Spring Tennis Academy accepts the Champions of Character values and understands the importance of those values and developing character in student-athletes. We will strive to model the Champions of Character values in every aspect of our coaching and our lives. We will make every effort to incorporate the Champions of Character values into practices and competition.
We will expect student-athletes under our direction to exhibit the Champions of Character values on and off the field of competition and will communicate this expectation to them before the start of the season. We will use every opportunity to reinforce the Champions of Character values with the student-athletes under our direction. Knowing and understanding the importance of the NAIA's Champions of Character initiative, we will follow the statements in the aforementioned Coaches Code.
