Group Programs

Spring Tennis Academy offer excellent instruction and affordable programs. We teach correct technique and mental toughness to help players be successful in tennis. The development of good character qualities is an important part of our program. 

Northampton Tennis

Spring Tennis Academy at Northampton

We offer excellent instruction and affordable programs to choose from to learn tennis. Our strategy is to help players be successful both on and off the court. The development of each player's character is important to us. We teach correct technique and mental toughness to help players be successful at all levels of the game. Located at 6012 Root Road near Gosling off (99). 

Tennis Players

Academy (Age 8 - 17)


This program is for ZAT, Champs, Super Champs, High School, and Tournament level players. We teach mechanics, strategy, tactics, fitness, and mental toughness. Our coaches help the players develop their strengths, identify and improve weaknesses, and focus on their individual needs.

Scheduled Class Times:
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Monthly Fees:
1 Day per Week - $175  •  2 Days per Week - $275 •  3 Days per Week - $375 

Green Machine (Age 8 - 14)


This class is for intermediate players who have some experience and are not complete beginners. We work on stroke development, while competing against other teammates. We always make sure to practice using correct strategy and technique.

Scheduled Class Times:
Tuesday and Friday from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

1 Day per Week - $80 •  2 or 3 Days per Week - $160



Red Raiders (Age 5 - 10)

This is a fun class for junior tennis players between the ages of 5 - 10 years of age. We use red and orange tennis balls that bounce lower and improve tracking, hand-eye coordination, and striking ability. This class is a lot of fun, and the kids have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of tennis.

Scheduled Class Times:
Tuesday and Friday from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Our Fees:
1 Day per Week - $80 •  2 Days per Week - $160

New Summer Tennis Coach Josiah Major

We are pleased to announce that Josiah Major is coaching with us this summer. Coach Joe was a junior player that excelled in tournament play. As a junior player, he was committed to his tennis game and academics. Joe is a great example for our kids! An excellent youth coach and a sophomore at Texas A&M School of Business.

Nabilah and Maeva

Challenger Finals

We are proud of Maeva and Nabilah for making the Finals of the Houston 2-Day Challenger tournament! Both girls played great to make the finals. Maeva (right) won the tournament by beating Nabila (left) in the final in a third set super tiebreaker 15-13. Maeva is now a Championship rated player.

Ken Olivier Honored at UT Tyler National Championship Reunion

The University of Texas at Tyler recently held a National Championship reunion to honor "Hall of Fame" Coach, Fred Kniffen, and past players. Players from all over the country traveled to reunite and celebrate winning a National Championship, 1989. A special thanks to Joe Vann (Interim Head Coach UT Tyler) and Dr. Howard Patterson Vice President & Athletics Director of UT Tyler for hosting this event. (Ken Olivier is the only player in the history of the school to win individual singles or doubles title at UT Tyler (he won both). Ken finished ranked #1 in the nation in singles, doubles, and team. He also holds a Master's degree from UT Tyler).

Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the Sanchez Family

Maria and Alejandra Sanchez received tennis scholarships to Arkansas Tech University. Both girls trained at Northampton for three years prior to receiving their scholarships. Their little brother, Ricardo, is also in our program and is a Championship level player.

Emily Olivier Graduates with Honors

Emily Olivier graduated with honors from The University of New Mexico with a degree in Communications and minor in Business. She played 4 years of NCAA Division I college tennis on full athletic scholarship and led her team to the first Mountain West Conference Championships in the history of the school.

She was team captain and was invited and played in the prestigious All-American tournament in California at Pepperdine University. She received several Mountain West honors for academics and athletic excellence.  Her highest Mountain West singles ranking was #7 and her highest national ranking was #75 in singles. Emily was also a 6-A State Champion at Klein High School high school, A super national player, Grand Slam winner and ranked #10 in Texas in girls 18s Super Champ division.
